The Sarat Chandra Kagti Charitable Trust is a registered non-profit organization with a mission to uplift and support the neediest segments of society, particularly those marginalized at the bottom of the pyramid. Since our inception in 2017, we have been tirelessly working to make a positive impact on the lives of those who are most deserving of support in Assam and the North-eastern states of India.
We focus on bringing the transformative power of education by supporting most deserving students from underprivileged backgrounds, providing full financial assistance, mentorship and Academic resources to pursue their dreams. Together, let’s create a brighter future for these young minds and empower them to become future leaders and changemakers.
Extending financial assistance to hospitals which provide free treatment and medical assistance to economically downtrodden patients to access most needed healthcare services and also to organizations providing free palliative care for those in need.
Enabling Marginalised Sections Of The Society. Providing financial support to various organisations who promote sustainable livelihood activities and measures, supporting indigenous craftsmen and rural artisans to improve their economic condition and thereby contribute to the upliftment of their families and communities. We also support organizations providing livelihood opportunities to physically and mentally challenged persons.
Collaborate with NGOs and Organizations by offering financial assistance for implementing specific schemes and projects to help to create better futures for the neglected, aged, the vulnerable young women and children rescued from violence and abuse, abandoned infants and children.
Collaborating with reputed NGOs who work at the grassroot level to mitigate loss and suffering to communities adversely affected by sudden, unexpected, natural and man-made calamities.

St. Anthony’s School, built by the Trust in Thaidawr, a remote village in Mizoram of the Bru community.
Priyapal Handique, whose academic costs are financed by the Trust is a very bright student severely disabled with Multiple Sclerosis, studying B.Sc. Physics in Mariani College, Jorhat has won admission to IIT-Guwahati in the programme of B.Sc. in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

With the Trust’s financial support Kaushik Sarma completed Diploma in Plastics Technology from CIPET Guwahati and is currently employed with SGS India Pvt. Ltd.
Karmistha Das, daughter of economically marginalized differently abled parents, a bright child pursuing her parents’ dreams with the Trust’s support, is studying in Class I, Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Sonaighuli.
The Trust continues to finance building of schools presently under construction in remotely situated villages of Damparengpui, Zomuantlang and Thaidawr of Mizoram.
The Trust has financed the cost of new infrastructure of the Ku-Mongrikani St. Joseph School, Chiringgro, Williamnagar last year. This year it has paid the cost for earth leveling of the playground and extension of two classrooms.
The Trust is financing waterproofing of the ceilings of the Operation Theatres and other critical spaces at the urgent request for financial assistance by the hospital management.

Retired from business after 38 years to concentrate on engagements in the Social Sector. A dedicated humanist with strong commitment to social justice and upliftment of marginalized and neglected communities.
Dr. Rathindra Nath Sharma, resides at #71, Lamb Road Guwahati. Born in Dibrugarh, since 1960 at Guwahati, studied in Don Bosco School Guwahati, B.Sc.(Hons) Gauhati University, M.Sc. (Appl. Geol.) and Ph.D. (Earth Sciences), University of Roorkee (now IIT). Ex. Senior Scientist CSIR G.O.I 1983-1995. Since 1996 -2019, started Consultancy & Research in Environment, Remote Sensing & GIS. Supervised 3 Ph.D. students awarded degrees- G.U. Presently working to restart our environment and food quality related testing laboratory here.
A prominent HR Consultant and Trainer based in Guwahati. With her background in working at Indian Oil Corporation, she has also taught HRM at Gauhati University and other institutions as a Guest Lecturer. She is also actively involved with various social causes, particularly in the disability and education sectors.
A physician by profession and a believer of eternal principals of Humanism. He is deeply influenced by Stoicism and Dhamma and prefers to stay away from limelight. His interests are reading (Non-Fictions), solo travelling, trekking and community service. His family comprises of wife, Dr. Jayanti and daughter Mayurika.
A highly experienced medical professional specialized in Gynaecology and women’s health with extensive contributions in clinical and community health projects focused on the bottom of the pyramid. Currently health advisor to the national award-winning C-NES project which operates 15 boat clinics with equipment and medical teams providing primary healthcare to 3.5 Lakh population in remote riverine locations in 13 Districts of Assam.
Her professional career has spanned 25 years as a designer, teacher and entrepreneur in the Textile Industry. Empowered number of women SHG’S in rural Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu to weave and produce quality textiles sold through FAB India and other outlets. Her roots in the North East led to the launching of Curtain Call Adventure in 2017, specializing in curating travel itineraries to unexplored areas with a focus on food, art, culture, livelihood and habitat of communities far from the main stream.
He is a Guwahati based Chartered Accountant in whole-time practice since 1999 & a partner at M/s.Sanjay Hazarika & Co., Chartered Accountants. He is a Free Mason and a member of the Kamrup Lodge No.301 at Guwahati, Assam. He is a member of the Governing Body of Debicharan Barua Girls College, Jorhat, Assam. His prior education was at St.Edmund's School, Shillong, Kendrya Vidyalaya, Khanapara, Guwahati, Guwahati Commerce College.
After obtaining the International Baccalaureate Diploma, pursued studies in Visual Arts and Production Design. Presently, engaged in freelance projects, focusing on painting and design, with a commitment to expanding skills. Aspires to make significant contributions towards upliftment of the underprivileged through application of art and artistry.
Gayatri's journey in the development sector spans over 18 years, during which she has worked extensively with various organizations in project management, grant-making, research, and advocacy campaigns. However, the transformative period of the COVID-19 pandemic inspired a profound shift in her perspective. She seeks to give back to society by blending her passion with her dedication through involvement with meaningful community and environment projects.
