Donations to the Sarat Chandra Kagti Charitable Trust will not be added/included to the Corpus Fund and shall always be incorporated in the Non-Corpus Fund of the Trust.

The SCKC Trust proudly supported North East Network (NEN) by providing financial assistance for the purchase of an SUV, enabling the organization to strengthen its outreach to remote villages across Meghalaya. This support enhances NEN's ability to advance gender justice, social justice, and community empowerment where access is often the greatest challenge.
Construction of the school and hostel for children of the Bru community at Damparengpui, Mamit district, Mizoram is progressing steadily. Once completed, this institution will provide quality education and safe residential facilities to children from more than 30 neighboring villages, many of whom currently have little or no access to formal education. This initiative aims to bridge the educational gap in one of the region's most underserved communities, creating opportunities for children to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

Women enrolled in the Adult Functional Literacy Program at the Women’s Leadership Training Centre, Guwahati have demonstrated remarkable dedication and progress since the program began in January 2026. The participants—primarily daily wage earners, domestic workers, fish and vegetable vendors, and small shopkeepers—are embracing the opportunity to learn with great enthusiasm. Their rapid progress in literacy and numeracy reflects the transformative impact of education, empowering them with greater confidence, independence, and hope for a better future.
The Trust has financed the cost of new infrastructure of the Ku-Mongrikani St. Joseph School, Chiringgro, Williamnagar last year. This year it has paid the cost for earth leveling of the playground and extension of two classrooms.

The SCKC Trust supports Study Centres under Snehalaya’s Child Friendly Guwahati Programme, providing supplementary classes to children from underserved and economically disadvantaged communities. Community educators help children strengthen their learning, stay engaged with school, and prevent dropouts, while creative and extracurricular activities nurture their confidence, curiosity and potential. Together, we are helping children stay in school, learn with confidence, and build a brighter future.
